As I watched, and hoped, they would accept the home I offered, they suddenly took wing. Watch the bush spring back as the load is lifted!

  As they flew, I tried to follow, but they were too fast. Sadly I returned home. They had spurned my offer; now they were on their own. And with several weeks before the "real" coming of spring, they probably had little chance of survival. All the resources in the world they had was the food in their stomachs.
